In our Lab we use mainly two different software revision control systems (RCS):
- Subversion (SVN)
- Historically we've used subversion as RCS up to 2012, when we started to switch to Git for selected projects. To help users deal with older SVN repositories, we've written a brief guide to subversion use (in catalan).
- Git is a modern, flexible distributed revision control system designed by Linus Torvalds and others. Its usage is a bit more complicated than SVN, but it offers many advantages, and it's rapidly spreading. We also have a brief guide to Git usage? (still under construction).
